Conceptual Art . Learning about this type of art yesterday caught my eye especially it being mixed with performance art . I also did some research about Marina Abramovic she really inspired me and this piece . I personally believe that in order to make an impact on someones life it's quite easier and more memorable to do it with performance art . Therefore , I knew that's what I was going to do . To be quite honest as I walked around I got more ideas into doing my piece . I really didn't know exactly what i was going to do i just went with all the thoughts in my head . Towards the end I realized I had symbolized humans as the scissors hanging , and I created a black poster with circle red paint to get the idea of the cycle of suicide. At the bottom I placed a red poster to give the illusion of a blood puddle. The performance was me stabbing the box that I had placed as my head with a big red X .
The idea was to show the aggression these people feel and the angry with in themselves . Making it a performance piece makes it memorable which is the idea . In order to bring awareness too such a big and sensitive issue we must do things like Gandhi . Like something he said
"YOU MUST BE THE CHANGE THAT YOU WISH TO SEE IN THIS WORLD."

Abstract Art
ITEMS USED: White paper , Red poster , Waterproof paint , brush , Ornaments , Glazed Glitter , Water Bottle .
Therapy Emotion created by Jermy Martinez .
As I made this piece I thought about how I was feeling at that moment The irony of that is that the first colors I started painting with were bright colors when my emotion when i started was sad. As I went on with my painting I started to take some of my emotions towards the painting . This project actually was a little therapy session for me . I also realized that I am the type of artist that does the opposite of there emotion . If I am sad I wont use dark colors I'll use bright colors so in a sense my abstract started bright but because I was so concentrated in to it I lost my sadness as I accomplished it . I hope that the people who see this Abstract painting can tell how half of the painting is different than the other half .

Picasso Baby
Two amazing people most people are familiar with. Jay –Z and Marina Abramovic . On July ,11 in the Pace Gallery for 6 hours straight Jay- Z performed with Marina Abramovic . She is known for her Conceptual art performances like lasting days without eating or showering in a gallery. It’s quite amazing and honorable the projects she has done. I personally believe that performance art especially conceptual art is more influential than any piece of art. You give the audience an experience that they won’t EVER .

Today I heard a poem by Robert Frost Fire and Ice. Thorough out the short poem I had to listen to it a couple of times to understand what the author meant . He said his preference was fire but that by what he knows he also wouldn't mind ice . The beginning of the poem made me think about religion because that's how it kicked off. Than I understood the meaning he desired fire but he might get ice , so in conclusion be happy with what you get even if it it's what you desire .

Lynn Hershman Leeson
“Invisibility--there are things we can't see now, that are there, that are embedded, that it really takes time in order to be able to see. There are many ghosts that are lurking around and lingering through us that takes the technology of another generation or so in order to uncover and show what those stains and strains and perceived flaws really we're building towards”Lynn Hershman was born in Cleveland, Ohio in the 1945 and attend to universities B.S. Case Western Reserve University and M.A. San Francisco State University . She has experienced over three decades now , becoming an Artist and Filmmaker . Most known for her develop of new technologies and investigation of issues that are now key to our working society . For example , your identity in consumerism , privacy in a era of supervision , interfacing of humans and machines and relationship between two worlds virtual and real . One of her most known pieces was her ground breaking documentary !Women Art Revolution in 2011. In 2004 she was named one of the most influential women in New Media . During 1974 and 1978 Lynn created another name for her slef Roberta Breitmore her alter ego . This was her private Performance Art her alter ego had credit cards an apartment this person was real .
The Body Language of her alter ego while she was in a psychiatric session . Her performance art was taken to the extreme and at that time bringing people aware of the issues women face . When i saw this piece it really caught my attention of how every body movement she made had a significant meaning . Lynn poster shows performance art in action and it's significance to body language .
Roberta's Construction Chart 2 .
In her first Chart she titles the photo " There Are Times When I Can feel Myself Being Trapped" thou the photo is edited and looks like a trapped person . In this Chart we see how Roberta edits the photo by marking her insecurities and wanting to change her appearance . To me this piece is really important towards this project because in the photo she is her alter ego but it seems like that's not enough .
In all these photos that have been edited you get to see how she expresses her self and feels at the moment she did this . You can get a real sense of what she wants you see . To me the fact she went beyond with this project and her films is truly inspiriting . Some people might call her crazy and in need of being in a institute . But a true Artist goes all the way withe there art work .

Today I read a poem from teenink.com.The title by it's self caught my eyes."Mind Eyes" as i read through the poem I couldn't hope but, think of God as your mind eye . I found it kind of interesting how the author of the poem left a comment "A thought to go out all who have ever cared for anyone who didn't return the favor." It kind of threw me off because throughout the poem I got the sense of observing someone else's sorrow but with comment it makes me think of someone who does nothing to help someone else's sorrow . So in conclusion the Mind Eye is an Observer who watches over you. Here's the link to the poem to whom ever may wish to read it .

The Olive Trees by Vincent Von Gough
Von Gough painted this painting in complementary with the famous painting The Starry Night . He had gone to an Aylsum in south France where from there he sent his brother Theo a letter stating the painting he had done.
The fact that the picture gives you the feel of a moving picture makes this painting more attracted to the eye. I always have had a fascination with trees and here he has painted olive trees that seem to be moving by wind . What makes this more interesting is that he painted this in an Asylum with complementary with The Starry Night . Which we know represents the fear of death in a humble quite night, right along with a beautiful sky with large stars. This painting gives you the thought of peaceful and the love in nature before thinking of the fear with death. So in conclusion this painting will come first to a viewer. As a class this might be an interesting painting to discuss because the painter himself makes you wonder what was going through his head as he painted it. I would enjoy to hearing what my colleagues with thinking out this painting .
